Seawork: Key Details & Timings

Like many of its members, the NWA will be heading to Seawork from the 3rd–5thJuly. Our stand number is PB127, and we’re looking forward to seeing many of you there – both at the conference, and at the annual NWA Seawork Dinner on the Wednesday evening. If you still haven’t booked your places, it is not too late – please complete the booking form (in the Members Area) and return to Jacqui as soon as practicable.

 

Look out for Norman Finlay MBE, founder and Lifetime President of the NWA, who is joining the judging panel for the European Commercial Marine Awards (ECMAs) this year.

Tuesday 3rd July

Seawork to be officially opened by the Shipping Minister, Nus Ghani.

The Shipping minister's attendance to officially open the show is testament to the growth and success of the Workboat sector in recent years.

Tuesday 3rd July – Afternoon, Conference Room

A showcase of Marine Apprenticeships, consisting of a series of short presentations on both the Workboat Apprenticeships in England & Scotland and on the other related sector apprenticeships.

These include British Marine, Engineer, Officer of the Watch, and the senior level degree (Management) apprenticeships being developed by Liverpool John Moores University.
 
Wednesday 4th July – 7 / 7:30pm

NWA Seawork Dinner at the Best Western Chilworth Manor 
 
Thursday 5th July – 8am 

NWA Committee Meeting at the Holiday Inn, next door to Seawork

Friday 6th July – 9:30am 

MCA / NWA Liaison Meeting – the NWA Committee's bi-annual liaison meeting with MCA Policy Leads.
