NWA Towage Good Practice Guide - Published December 2016

Thursday 29th December 2016

This 'Use of Workboats for Towage -Good Practice Guide' has been produced by NWA members actively involved in towage.  The intent is in part to give guidance to underpin the principles of towage which are contained in the revised Workboat Code due to be published shortly by the MCA, as well as answering the recommendation put on the NWA by the MAIB in their report of the investigation into the girting of the line boat /tug "Asterix" in 2015.

It is intended that this will remain a live document and we hope to add some line diagrams in the near future.  Should you have any comments with regard to this guide - please send them to;- secretary@workboatassociation.org  for consideration.
